In-Depth Analyses as a Foundation
At wpw, we use energy and building simulations not only to optimise new-build projects but also to analyse and address weaknesses in existing buildings. In this way, we create a sound basis for decision-making that supports efficient, sustainable and future-ready energy supply.
Using state-of-the-art simulation software, we model material flows, energy quantities and energy flows and analyse their interaction under realistic conditions. We compare different scenarios and variants to identify optimisation opportunities. The resulting robust, data-based findings provide a transparent basis for decision-making and strategic planning.
Our approach
We use digital simulation models to assess, optimise and design energy supply systems and sector coupling. These models accurately represent realistic user scenarios, system parameters and building physics in detail. By incorporating site-specific weather data, we can assess annual performance in terms of sustainability, energy efficiency, economic viability and flexibility, as well as evaluate the impact of conversions and extensions.
